Contemporary Gilding is about beauty, it is about Art History and Culture. The reason I chose 42 years ago to work in the Gold Leaf Arts is because the helped me to express my sculptural call from a conceptual point of view: Every object I found interesting as a form or meaning could be fixed as a Conceptual Poem thanks to the act of Gilding it. Having said this I want to explain that the Jewelry Collections I will be introducing from now on are only a new aspect of the Contemporary Gilding Art exploration I have been working on since 1982. The new Jewelry Collections I am introducing to you have been developed with the collaboration of my life long partner Lula Alvarez. They are a work of Art but also a homage to the Woman as a representation of the struggle we Humans, of all Ages and times, share in life. Made by Fran González.
