Omega Her Time and Nicole Kidman in St Petersburg

The Marble Palace in St Petersburg was the perfect location for guest Nicole Kidman and for the Omega Her Time exhibition

The Omega’s “Her Time” traveling exhibition of women’s timepieces was launched in St Petersburg with a cocktail party and dinner, having Nicole Kidman as its precious guest of honour.

Nicole Kidman “perfectly incarnates the type of woman Omega’s watchmakers had in mind over 100 years ago when they started their production of women’s timepieces: she has talent, she is charming, funny and independent”, said president Raynald Aeschlimann at the opening event.

Omega “Her Time” shows the evolution and style change of women’s watches: from the first Lèpine pendants to the iconic Ladymatic, through the “secret jewellery watches” to today’s creations, such as the De Ville Trésor, the Seamaster Aqua Terra and, obviously, the Ladymatic. Next to the watches were some samples of art pieces of the time together with some traditional advertising by Omega showing women in a variety of lifestyles and fashions over the years.

A magical atmosphere of past and present times was recreated for Omega. The location offered a further touch of theatricality: the granite and marble of the famous neoclassic Russian palace created a stunning background for the quintessence of our wrist’s jewels.
