74th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair Exceeds Expectations, Generating Over USD 174 Million in Trade

The 74th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair concluded on a high note, delivering results beyond expectations and reinforcing Thailand’s position as a leading global hub for gems and jewelry. Held from 8–12 September 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), the five-day event attracted more than 50,000 buyers and visitors from 123 countries, generating over THB 5.8 billion (USD 174 million) in purchase orders — a 26% increase from the same periods, the 72nd edition. With more than 1,300 exhibitors from 20 countries showcasing over 2,800 booths, the fair demonstrated strong international confidence in Thailand’s gems and jewelry industry and its ability to connect global buyers with trusted suppliers, manufacturers, designers and gemstone specialists. The strong participation from international buyers, particularly from India, Myanmar, China, Japan, and Sri Lanka, highlights Bangkok Gems’ growing role as a key international marketplace, where trade, craftsmanship, innovation and business opportunities come together to drive the industry forward.

The 74th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair takes over the full scale of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), bringing the global gems and jewelry industry together across all exhibition halls and event spaces. Spanning more than 53,000 square meters, the fair creates an expansive one-stop marketplace where buyers can explore gemstones, diamonds, pearls, fine jewelry, machinery, tools, packaging and supporting services — all under one roof. The Opening Ceremony of the 74th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair 

The opening ceremony of the 74th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair, held on 8th September 2026, was presided over by Miss Kirida Bhaopichitr, Vice Minister for Commerce. The ceremony, held at the Ballroom of QSNCC, was attended by Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion; Mr. Sumed Prasongpongchai, Director General of the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand; along with senior executives from the Ministry of Commerce and representatives from relevant private sector organizations.

The Networking Reception 

DITP and GIT hosted an exclusive Networking Reception during the 74th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, bringing together international buyers, exhibitors, industry leaders, diplomats and trade representatives for an evening inspired by “The Colors of Bangkok.” Reflecting the vibrant energy and diversity of Bangkok, the reception celebrated the many connections that bring the global gems and jewelry community together.
